If you replace the batteries, allow up to 20 minutes for synchronization. If the problem persists, synchronize the units by bringing both indoors, removing a battery from each, matching the A-B-C switch settings, reinstalling the batteries, and letting them sit close together for 20 minutes to establish a strong connection.
