What to do if ACU-RITE 589 display screen not working?
    • C
      Christie PerezJul 31, 2025
If your ACU-RITE Weather Station's display screen isn't working, first, make sure the batteries are correctly installed and replace them if needed. If that doesn't work, reset the display by pressing and holding the “CLEAR RECORD/RESET” button located on the back of the display unit in the battery compartment. Remember that you'll need to enter the date and time again after the reset.

Why is the temperature or humidity inaccurate on my ACU-RITE Weather Station?
    • K
      kristina65Aug 5, 2025
To resolve inaccurate temperature or humidity readings on your ACU-RITE Weather Station, ensure that both the display unit and 3-in-1 sensor are away from heat sources or vents. Also, keep both units away from moisture sources. Make sure the 3-in-1 sensor is mounted at least 5 ft off the ground. You can also calibrate the indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity.

Why are the wind readings inaccurate on my ACU-RITE 589?
    • S
      Suzanne RobinsonAug 11, 2025
To improve inaccurate wind readings on your ACU-RITE Weather Station, consider what you are comparing the wind reading to. Pro weather stations are typically mounted at 30 ft high or more, so ensure you compare data using a sensor positioned at the same mounting height. Check the sensor's location, ensuring it’s mounted a minimum of 5 ft in the air with no obstructions around it (within several feet). Also, make sure the wind cups are spinning freely; if they hesitate or stop, try lubricating them with graphite powder or spray lubricant.

What to do if outdoor temperature is flashing on ACU-RITE 589 Weather Station?
    • R
      Rebecca ParkerAug 15, 2025
If the outdoor temperature is flashing or showing dashes on your ACU-RITE Weather Station, ensure the A-B-C switch in the battery compartments of both the display unit and sensor are switched to the same letter (A, B, or C). Sometimes, changing to a different channel can also help.

Why is the ACU-RITE 589 Weather Station forecast inaccurate?
    • F
      franklin54Aug 26, 2025
To improve the accuracy of the forecast on your ACU-RITE Weather Station, consider these points: The weather forecast icon predicts conditions for the next 12 to 24 hours, not current conditions. Allow the unit to run continuously for 33 days, as removing the battery or resetting the display unit will restart Learning Mode. The forecast should be fairly accurate after 14 days, but Learning Mode calibrates for a total of 33 days. Also, check if the Learning Mode icon has disappeared from the display unit; it must complete before the forecast and pressure will be accurate.

How to fix no outdoor sensor reception on ACU-RITE 589?
    • D
      Daniel ThompsonNov 20, 2025
If your ACU-RITE Weather Station shows no outdoor sensor reception, relocate the display unit and/or the 3-in-1 sensor, ensuring they are within 330 ft (100 m) of each other. Keep both units at least 3 feet (.9 m) away from electronics that may interfere with wireless communication, such as TVs, microwaves, and computers. Use standard alkaline batteries (or lithium batteries in the sensor when the temperature is below -4ºF/-20ºC), and avoid heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries. To synchronize the units, bring both the sensor and display unit indoors, remove at least one battery from each, ensure the A-B-C switch on both units match, reinstall the battery in the outdoor sensor, reinstall the battery into the display unit, and let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for about...
