7. Troubleshooting
ADAMproductsaredesignedandmanufacturedtothehighestqualitystan-
dards.However,ifanyproblemswithyoursubwooferoccur,werecommend
toproceedasfollows:
Problem:Theunitdoesnotwork.
Pleasechecktheconnectionbetweenthesourceofpower(socket)and•
theACjack.
Checkifthesubwooferisswitchedon.•
Makesuretheelectriccircuitworks.•
Problem:TheLEDshowsnormaloperation(green)butthereiseitherno or
only a distorted audio signal.
Checkthevolumesofboththesubwooferandyoursignalsource.•
Checkthewiring.Isthecabledefective?Areallcablesconnectedcor-•
rectly?Ifpossible,checkwithnewcables.
Connect the subwoofer as directly to the signal source as possible•
(pleasemindthevolume!).Isanotherpartofthesignalpath(e.g.mixer,
subwoofer)defective?
Problem:Youhearparasitic noises(likehumming,buzzing,soughing,crack-
ing).
Pleasedisconnectthesignalcables.Ifthenoisesdisappear,checkthe•
signalpath.
Makesurethatallcablesareproperlyconnected,especiallythesignal•
cablebetweenthepreamp/mixingconsole/etc.andthesub.
Ifthenoisescanstillbeheard,checkforotherelectricaldevicescloseto•
thespeakers(mobilephones,switchingpowersupplies,etc.).Ifthereis
nointerferingdevicethesubwooferwillprobablycausetheproblem.
