15. Circulation Pump
1. Pump Operation Guidelines:
⚫ Caution: Do not running the pump without water or it will be damaged!
⚫ Ensure there is water in the boiler before activating the pump.
⚫ Close the (blue) valve on the circulation pipe.
⚫ Insert the curved pipe and securely lock it in place by pressing down the two handles on the connector (see
“Camlock Fitting Operation” images below)
⚫ Switch on the pump after completing the above steps.
2. Flow Rate Adjustment:
⚫ Adjust the flow rate using the blue valve to achieve the correct circulation speed.
⚫ If the pump speed is too fast, there's a risk of the grain basket overflowing down the central pipe, and the
bottom of the boiler may run dry, leading to burning and overheating of the elements.
⚫ Fine-tune the flow until achieving an optimal rate of circulation.
3. Post-Mashing Procedures:
⚫ Switch off the pump after completing the mashing process.
⚫ Important: Do not remove the curved recirculation pipe until you have closed the valve and switched off
the pump to avoid unwanted spills.
4. Valve Information:
⚫ This device features a Tee-shaped valve: the blue handle is for mashing recirculation, and the red handle
is for anti-burn flushing.
⚫ Refer to the operation sticker next to the valve for guidance on opening and closing directions. Also see
“Valve Operation” images below.
5. Anti-Burn Flushing:
⚫ Push the anti-burn flushing arm into valve, as illustrated in “Anti-Burn Flushing Arm Fitting” images below.
Follow above steps diligently for smooth pump operation and a successful brewing process.
