3.4 Use as intended
The appliance is intended for the display of packaged, deep
frozen food products or access to them by customers.

4 Structure and function
The appliance is a compact device ready to plug in.
The appliance is supplied ready for use and has its own
control unit.
The appliance is pre-programmed ex works.
The appliance contains one or more hermetically
sealed refrigerant circuits whose components are per-
manently and technically tightly connected to each
other.
The design of the individual appliance models may vary.
The waste heat generated in the appliance is trans-
ferred to the ambient air via a heat exchanger. The ap-
pliance defrosts automatically at regular intervals (see
Automatic defrosting).
If required, semi-automatic defrosting can be used (see
page 11, chapter 5).
For hygienic reasons, complete defrosting (see
Complete defrosting) with subsequent cleaning must be
carried out.
Depending on the appliance model, individual interior
equipment is possible.
NOTICE
Property damage due to missing interior
equipment.
Only operate the appliance with wall grille.

The appliance is equipped with stacking marks (see
Loading).
The appliance is equipped with glass lids.
The appliance is equipped with sliding feet for easy
movement back and forth.
4.1 Automatic defrosting
The appliance features automatic defrosting.
During automatic defrosting, the following display indi-
cator and symbols appear on the display (see page
11, chapter 5).

The frequency, duration, and time of defrosting are pre-
set.

Two times / week (or customer-specific)
Defrost time
Up to 99 min.
Defrosting time
The start time is regulated by means of a
realtime clock and takes place in the night
hours.
Time delayed between 9 pm and 3 am.
The water produced on defrosting is routed from the
interior of the appliance where it evaporates.
CAUTION
Leakage of condensation water.
Slipping hazard.
Check for puddles in front of and un-
der the appliance.
Promptly remove leaking condensation
water.
Contact the maintenance service
promptly (see Maintenance ser-
vices).
If required, semi-automatic defrosting can be used
(see page 11, chapter 5).
After every automatic or semi-automatic defrosting,
the function is blocked for 24 hours.
5 Control and display

5.1 Temperature display
The temperature of the appliance is set at the factory
to ensure compliance with the M-package tempera-
ture class specified by the manufacturer (see Tech-
nical data).

5.2 Operating elements and display
indicators
Where necessary, remove the protecting Plexiglas
cover with a matching screwdriver in order to access
the operating elements.
CAUTION
Remove the Plexiglas cover using a
screwdriver.
Cutting injury.
Use the tool with care.
Ensure the correct size of the screw-
driver to prevent slipping.
After use, stow away the screwdriver
correctly and safely.
