Dadurch

Abstand der
niedrigen
Signalpegel
vom Rauschpegel
des
Bandes
größer
geworden.
Bei
der
Wiedergabe wi¡d

Wirkung
dieser
Anhebung
durch
eine
entgegengesetzt
wirkende
Schaltung
soweit
kompensiert,
daß
das
Bandrauschen
nahezu
unhörbar
wird.

NR Switch
to ON

activates
the
Dolby
circuit to
raise
low level signals
before
they
are
recorded
and
lowers them by
precisely
the

playback.
This
process
eliminates
extraneous
and superimposed
noise, thus
also
eliminating tape
hiss.
