7.3. Settings
You can adjust general settings for the device here.
7.3.1. Battery saving mode
The battery saving mode extends the battery life of the device. Higher levels extend the
runtime more, but incoming radio messages may be recognized with a slight delay.
7.3.2. Dual-channel monitoring
If dual-channel monitoring is active, incoming radio messages are received on both set
channels, otherwise only on the active channel. Using this function reduces the battery life.
7.3.3. SOS mode
This setting determines whether the alarm siren should only be played locally by the radio
using the SOS function, or whether it should also be transmitted on the active channel.
7.3.4. Scan mode
The behavior of the channel scan can be congured here. In the “Time” setting, the scan
remains on each channel with a signal for a short time and then continues. In the “Carrier”
setting, the scan remains on each channel as long as a signal is received there. In the “Search”
setting, the search ends when the rst signal is found.
7.3.5. Backlight timer
This setting determines how long the screen illumination and button illumination remains active
when the device is not in use. Longer illumination times reduce the battery life.
7.3.6. Key tone
You can switch the key tones on and off here.
7.3.7. Voice prompt
You can switch the voice announcements on and off here.
7.3.8. Menu delay
Here you can set the number of seconds of inactivity in the menu after which the device
automatically returns to the main screen.
7.3.9. Side key setting short
Select the desired function for a short press of the programmable side button. You can select
the functions “Monitor”, “Scan” and “FM radio”.
7.3.10. Side key setting long
Select the desired function for a long press of the programmable side button. You can select
the functions “Monitor”, “Scan” and “FM radio”.
7.3.11. Automatic key lock
Here you can congure the automatic key lock, which locks all keys on the front of the device
after the set time. To deactivate the key lock, press and hold the button.
