sap
Syntax sap sap-id [interval seconds] [repeat repeat] [absolute | rate]
Context monitor>service>id service-id
Description This command monitors statistics for a SAP associated with this service.
This command displays statistics for a specific SAP, identified by the port-id and encapsulation value, at the
configured interval until the configured count is reached.
The first screen displays the current statistics related to the SAP. The subsequent statistical information
listed for each interval is displayed as a delta to the previous display. When the keyword rate is specified,
the “rate per second” for each statistic is displayed instead of the delta.
Monitor commands are similar to show commands but only statistical information displays. Monitor com-
mands display the selected statistics according to the configured number of times at the interval specified.
Parameters sap-id — Specifies the physical port identifier portion of the SAP definition.

port-id — Specifies the physical port ID in the slot/mda/port format.
If the card in the slot has
MDAs installed, the port-id must be in the slot_number/MDA_number/
port_number format. For example 6/2/3 specifies port 3 on
MDA 2 in slot 6.
The port-id must reference a valid port type. When the port-id parameter represents SONET/SDH and
TDM channels, the port ID must include the channel ID. A period “.” separates the physical port from
the channel-id. The port must be configured as an access port.
If the SONET/SDH port is configured as clear-channel then only the port is specified.
qtag1, qtag2 — Specifies the encapsulation value used to identify the SAP on the port or sub-port. If this
parameter is not specificially defined, the default value is 0.
Values qtag1: 0 — 4094
qtag2 : * | 0 — 4094
