STRIP ROTARY FUNCTION the alternative encoder information that can be
accessed is as follows but this setting also lets you choose which functions
you want to access via the different levels of encoder function. You can define
the function for the Main (default) operation, the Shifted operation and the
Alternate operation of the Channel Strip Rotary control.
MAIN choose from the drop down list the primary function you want. This
sets the function globally across all channel strips.
SHIFT choose from the drop down list the function you want to access when
you hold down the Rotary Shift key. This sets the function globally across all
channel strips.
ALT VIEW choose from the drop down list the function you want to access
when you hold down the Alt View key. This sets the function globally across all
channel strips. It is typical to set the Alt View rotary function to access Preamp
Gain/Trim.
Note: There are some restrictions regarding what functions can used
dependant on the type of main bus configured. Gain/Trim can only be
displayed on the lower arc of the channel LCD so can only be used on Main
and Alt settings. Sub and Mono can only be displayed on the upper arc of the
channel LCD so can only be used on Shift and Alt settings.
