STRAWPULLER / SHAKER PAN DRIVES
Clutch not engaged Turn clutch switch on
Strawpuller is plugged Turn off machine. Remove plug
manually
Loose or broken drive chain Repair or replace chain
Loose or broken drive sprocket Tighten set screws, replace key
or sprocket
Strawpullers and shaker pans
are not moving
Bearing failure Replace bearing
SHAKER PANS / SIEVES
Shaker drive arm out of
adjustment
Adjust shaker arms evenly Shaker pans hitting sides of
combine
Worn or broken wooden arms Replace
Clutch not engaged Turn clutch switch on
Loose or broken drive chain Repair or replace chain
Loose or broken drive sprocket Tighten set screws, replace key
or sprocket
Bearing failure Replace bearing
Shaker pans are not moving
Wooden arm broken Replace shaker arms
INTERNAL CONVEYORS
Clutch not engaged Turn clutch switch on
Conveyor belt is loose Tighten belt (See conveyor
adjustment)
Lacing or pin broken Fix or replace lacing, pin, or belt
Key in sprocket sheared Repair or replace as necessary
Conveyor does not turn
Bearing failure Replace bearings
WINNOWING BLOWER
Clutch not engaged Turn clutch switch on
Loose or broken drive belt Tighten or replace belt
Loose or broken drive pulley or
variable pulley
Tighten set screws, replace
key(s) or pulley(s)
Blower does not turn
Key in drive pulley or variable
pulley sheared
Repair or replace as necessary
Bearing failure Replace bearing
Missing or broken vane Replace blower
Blower wheel loose and
rubbing
Tighten set screw
Blower too close to cutoff point Adjust shaft position or replace
bad impeller
Blower makes unusual noise
(vibrating)
Fins plugged with dirt Clean or replace blower wheel
CYCLONE BLOWER
Clutch not engaged Turn clutch switch on Blower does not turn
Loose or broken drive belt Tighten or replace belt
Blower does not turn Key in drive pulley or variable
pulley sheared
Repair or replace as necessary
