3.5.2 Alarm contacts
Alarm contacts are provided to give indication of power supply problems, and problems with
the parallel redundancy protocol (PRP) ports.
Power supply problems are annunciated on terminals C and 1 on the connector located
towards the power supply connections as labelled on the front panel. A closed contact
indicates a problem.
The status of the two PRP ports is indicated on contacts labelled “Optical Port Alarm”: The
alarm outputs share a common terminal labelled “C”. Terminal 1 shows the state of Port A,
terminal 2 shows the state of Port B. A closed contact indicates that the port is not working.
3.5.3 TELNET Port
A TELNET interface is used to configure, set, and interrogate the product.
TELNET is a virtual terminal protocol of TCP/IP. It provides full interconnectivity between
elements of a network. The terminal is connected to the network like any other device as
shown in the figure below.

Note: The IP addresses must be part of the same network as the terminal
and the subnet mask must not exclude them.
You use the TELNET interface to configure items such as the IP address, and Subnet mask.
