  If the wireless remote is not reporting to the console and dashes appear on the display, consider these steps: First, ensure the sensor is within the communication range (150’ line of sight, 100’ under typical conditions). Adjust the distance if it's too close (less than 5 feet). Check that the remote sensor's LCD is active and the transmitter light flashes every 60 seconds. Try new batteries, using lithium for cold environments. Avoid obstructions like metal or earth barriers. Also, keep the display console away from electronic devices that may generate electrical noise.

Why is my Ambient Weather F007TP LCD display fading?

  Extreme temperatures can cause the LCD display to fade, but the wireless functionality is not affected. To resolve this, replace the batteries in the thermometer. Bringing the thermometer inside should restore the display.
