Why does my Ambient Weather WS-16 Thermometer read too high during the day?
    • B
      Bradley WongAug 6, 2025
To prevent inaccurate high temperature readings during the day with your Ambient Weather Thermometer, ensure the thermo-hygrometer is mounted in a shaded area on a north-facing wall. If this isn't possible, consider using a radiation shield.

Why do indoor and outdoor temperatures not agree on my Ambient Weather WS-16 Thermometer?
    • C
      Caitlin WashingtonAug 14, 2025
If the indoor and outdoor temperatures on your Ambient Weather Thermometer don't match, allow up to one hour for the sensors to stabilize due to signal filtering. The indoor and probe temperature sensors should agree within 4 °F, as the sensor accuracy is ± 2 °F.

    • T
      Tara GreenOct 28, 2025
If the wireless remote thermo-hygrometer isn't reporting to the console and dashes appear on the display, try these steps: 1. Press and hold the CHANNEL/+ button for 3 seconds to reacquire the signal. The remote search icon should appear, and once the signal is found, the icon will disappear. 2. Ensure the sensor assembly is within the communication range (300’ line of sight, 100’ under most conditions). Adjust the distance if it's too close (less than 5’) or too far. 3. Check that the remote sensor LCD is working and the transmitter light flashes every 60 seconds. 4. Install fresh batteries, using lithium batteries in cold environments. 5. Avoid obstructions like solid metal or earth barriers. 6. Move the display console away from electrical noise sources like computers and TVs. 7....
