Why don't the indoor and outdoor temperature readings agree on my Ambient Weather WS-07?
    • L
      Leonard ColemanAug 1, 2025
The indoor and outdoor temperature sensors should agree within 2 °F (the sensor accuracy is ± 1 °F). Allow up to one hour for the sensors to stabilize due to signal filtering. If they still disagree after this period, you can use the calibration feature to match the indoor and outdoor temperature to a known source.

How to fix a wireless remote (thermo-hygrometer) that is not reporting to the Ambient Weather WS-07 Thermometer console?
    • R
      Robin WilliamsAug 6, 2025
If the sensor communication is lost, dashes (--.-) will be displayed on the screen. To reacquire the signal, press and hold the CHANNEL/+ button for 3 seconds.

How to prevent my Ambient Weather WS-07 Thermometer temperature sensor from reading too high during the day?
    • A
      Alicia WebbAug 10, 2025
To prevent inaccurate high temperature readings, ensure the thermo-hygrometer is mounted in a shaded area on the north-facing wall. If this isn't possible, consider using a radiation shield.

Why don't the indoor and outdoor humidity readings agree on my Ambient Weather WS-07?
    • B
      Brian BlackburnAug 20, 2025
The indoor and outdoor humidity sensors should agree within 10 % (the sensor accuracy is ± 5 %). Allow up to one hour for the sensors to stabilize because of signal filtering. If discrepancies persist, use the calibration feature to match the indoor and outdoor humidity to a known source.

      jrogersNov 14, 2025
If dashes appear on the display console and the remote search icon is constantly displayed, the signal may be lost. Here's what you can do: 1. Ensure the sensor is within the communication range (300’ line of sight, 100’ under most conditions). Try moving the sensor closer to the display console, or further away if it's less than 5’. 2. Verify the remote sensor's LCD display is working and the transmitter light flashes every 60 seconds. 3. Install fresh batteries in the remote thermo-hygrometer; use lithium batteries for cold weather. 4. Ensure the sensor isn't transmitting through metal or earth barriers. 5. Move the display console away from electrical noise sources like computers and TVs. 6. Try placing the remote sensor in a higher or closer location. Once the signal is reacquir...
