5 Remote
9 pin DSub port.
Pin2: Reference signal for pin3 (GND)
Pin3: Trigger Out when a pulse is fired
Pin7: Stops the pulse. Battery voltage is not
switched off!
6 Main source IN
Input for dc voltage main source, e.g. PA5840 for battery voltage levels to operate the EUT.
7 Sense lines
To compensate voltage drops in cabling between dc source and NSG 5500
8 AUX source IN
Input for dc voltage auxillary source, e.g. PA5740. AUX In is used for dip-voltage testing to apply the lower
voltage level (only available on CDN 5501 with + DS option, CDN5500 does not have AUX input).
9 CDN 5501 module
Coupling / decoupling network. This module contains the +DS and + MEAS option if ordered.
10 Ventilation CDN 5501
Ventilation slits with fan behind. Keep at least 20cm distance to a wall or any other blocking object.
11 Ethernet port
Ethernet interface port is currently not supported.
12 USB port
USB serial interface port to remote control the NSG 5550 system by the software.
13 GPIB port
IEEE 488 parallel interface port to remote control the NSG 5550 system by the software.
14 +Arb interface out
Analog ARB signal output, to be connected to the analog IN of a dc source, e.g. PA5840.
1: Current limiter, 0-10VDC
2: Reference signal of Pin1 (GND)
3: Voltage control, -10 up to +10VDC
4: Reference signal of Pin3 (GND)
Supported bandwith: DC ā 500kHz
15 BNC connector
Trigger Out. TTL (5V High, 0V Low)
Function selectable in Arb wave testing in the software.
16 CTR 5502 module
Mandatory control unit module with interfaces to be remote controlled by software.
In the same module the optional +Arb feature and channels extensions ARB 5500 are built-in,
in total up to 8 ARB5500 are supported.
17 Mains input
Power mains inlet. Care must be taken the voltage selector element and fuses fit to the applied voltage.
