What to do if Andersen Winches motor stops and the push button LED flashes?
    • R
      Rodney YorkAug 18, 2025
If your Andersen Winches motor stops and the push button LED flashes, this could be due to several reasons: * The motor might have reached its maximum load. In this case, release the push button and reduce the load on the winch. * The motor circuit may be overheated (above 60°C or 140°F). Allow the motor to cool down, ensuring adequate ventilation. It will automatically reset. * The running time might have exceeded 4 minutes. Release the push button and wait 30 seconds before restarting. * There may be damage to the control cable. If necessary, replace the cable.

If you notice excessive vibration or noise from the motor/gearbox unit of your Andersen Winches, it might be due to an uneven mounting surface. Try loosening the motor unit mounting bolts and running the motor. If the noise/vibration decreases, correct the mounting surface and then reinstall the motor unit.

Why Andersen Winches motor will not start but push button LED is illuminated?
    • K
      Kimberly WilsonAug 28, 2025
If the Andersen Winches motor will not start and the push button LED is illuminated, it could be due to incorrect or insufficient voltage in the power supply. Why green LED on Andersen Winches circuit breaker doesn't illuminate?
    • P
      Patrick WalkerSep 7, 2025
If the green LED on the Andersen Winches circuit breaker does not illuminate when switched ON, or flashes every 20 seconds, it could mean that the MINUS wire from the circuit breaker to the battery terminal is disconnected or damaged. Check the cable and terminal connections at both the circuit breaker and the battery. It's also possible that the PCB or its terminals are damaged, in which case you should contact your Andersen dealer or replace the PCB.

What causes Andersen Winches circuit breaker to trip with no status code?
    • S
      Steven AndersonSep 9, 2025
If the Andersen Winches circuit breaker trips, switches to OFF, and no status code flashes, it indicates that the current draw exceeds the maximum rating of the circuit breaker. Check the electrical installation and ensure that all connections to the circuit breaker are correct.
