TheRS‐232portofthePM1122‐INTwillcommonlybeusedbyathirdpartydevicetosteerthe
PM1122.However,itcanbeusedtochangeparametersanddefaultsettingsortostorepresets.For
thesepurposes,communicationbetweenacomputerandthePM1122‐INTbecomesveryhandy.If
youuseaPCwhichhasWindows2000orXPasoperatingsystem,thereisprogramcalled
Hyperterminalavailablewhichisperfectlysuitableforthispurpose.OnVistahowever,thisprogram
isnolongeravailable.Becauseofthat,wedecidedtodistribute“HerculesSETUPutility”.Thisisa
freewareprogramfromHW‐group.Itcanbefoundat

orontheincludedCD.Itdoesn’thave
tobeinstalledsoyoucanrunitdirectlyfromtheCD.ItalsoworksonWindowsXPandhassomenice
featuressoitisourfavorite!

Opentheapplicationbydoubleclicking“Hercules.exe”.Likestatedbefore,theprogramcanbe
launcheddirectlyfromtheCD.Thesecuritysoftwareonyourcomputermightblocktheprogram.In
thatcase,click“unblock”tocontinue.Thefirsttimetheprogramstarts,thefollowingscreen
