4.34) Apply masking tape to the vehicle’s tailgate level
with the lower edge of the door sash.
4.35) Open the canopy’s door. Starting overlapped
about 10mm with one end of the tailgate, in the
location as shown, and above the line of the
masking tape which is to be used as a guide for
location . Roll out the clear protection tape
(665037) and start partially by removing the tape
backing liner and align the lower edge of it to the
top edge of the masking tape. Leave the overhang
on the opposite side.
4.36) During application of the clear tape, push out
bubbles and wrinkles working from one end of the
tape with a squeegee.
Trim the clear tape both ends level with the
tailgate ends and smooth off.
Remove the masking tape.
4.37) Open and close the tailgate. See if the corner
seals on the lower frame get jammed in the
tailgate. Trim these until satisfied with the
clearance to the tailgate with sharp scissors.
4.38) Water test the canopy around all windows and
joins to the tub, with high pressure hose.
4.39) Ensure the last 2 pages of this instruction are
discussed with the customer and are given to
the customer.
