4.26) Place a Quicklock clamp over the mount rail of the
canopy and the sheet metal flange of the tub
rearward of the lift up window lock mechanism
cover. Clamp this in position ensuring the
metal mount rail of the canopy is kept straight
and flat.
4.27) Place an M8x19mm (smaller) washer over an
M8x25 Torx pan head screw and locate this into
the slot in the canopy mount rail from the top
inside the lock mechanism bracket cover for lift up
windows. Hold this in place using a socket drive
T40 Torx bit.
4.28) Bring the centre mount rail bracket (668PD070) up
onto the screw via the slotted hole in the bracket
and secure in place with M8x25mm (larger)
washer and M8 nyloc nut from the underside,
tightly, pushing the bracket hard up to the tub
flange.
4.29) Using a 6.5mm drill and fitted with a 12mm deep
drill stop to prevent damage to the external skin of
the vehicle’s tub, drill through the tub lip flange via
the hole in the bracket.
De-burr the hole and apply rust inhibitor.
4.30) Place into the hole M6 x 20mm screw, with M6 x
25mm flat washer, and on the inside of the tub’s
return flange an M6 flange nut and do up to 9Nm.
4.31) Do up the M8 torx screw in the mount rail to
22Nm. Release the G clamp.
4.32) Refit the lock mechanism covers as removed
in step 4.25 and ensure wiring inside is coiled up
neatly and cannot interfere with the latch
4.33) If a Pop out window is optioned on the canopy,
locate the slots in the mid pint of the centre mount
rail and repeat steps 4.26 to 4.31.
