Cleaning of the boiler
With correct settings the boiler operatation will almost be sootfree. However, pel-
let combustion always creates flying ash that is transported by the flue gases and
fastens on the convection parts. The ash is automatically removed, which keeps the
burner and the tubes quite clean. The combustion chamber and the flue gas tubes
therefore require a minimum of cleaning.
It is recommended to clean the boiler in connection with the annual fire-protection
inspection. Before cleaning, switch off the main current, then dismount the burner,
the ash chamber door and the soot door. Use a brush, soot rake or vacuum-cleaner
with ash separator to remove any deposits of soot.
• Emptytheashboxbeforeitislledup.Emptyingintervalsvarydependingonthe
burner’s operational time and the ash content of the fuel. Check that there is no
ash left in the ash chamber before putting the ash box back.
• Afewtimeayearthesootchamberontopoftheboilershallbecleaned.Liftthe
cover and use a vacuum-cleaner with separator. Also check that the turbulators
run freely in the tubes by pulling the rocker straight upwards and then drop it
down. Put the cover back in the proper position.
