From wheelchair/ bed
without heavy lifting
1 Preparations:
Attach the spade seat and the safety
straps to the Walker. (Let the straps
hang on the knob from where you
attach it.)
2 Brake the wheels on the wheelchair/
bed.
3 Make sure the resident is sitting
safely in the wheelchair/ on the
bedside.
4Move the Walker so that the spade
seat is next to the wheelchair seat/
bedside.
5 Adjust the spade seat height so it is
in level with the wheelchair seat /
bedside.
6 When possible:
Move the spade seat in over the
wheelchair/ bed.
7 Brake the Walker front wheels.
8 Let the resident grip the hand grips.
When necessary, adjust them.
9Move the resident over onto the
spade seat.
When possible:
Let the resident move over to the
spade seat.
10 Attach and adjust the back strap.
11 Raise the resident to suitable height.
12 Release the wheel brakes and pull
the Walker out from the wheelchair/
bed.
13 Brake the Walker front wheels.
14 Attach and adjust the suspension
straps, see instruction page 9.
15 Loosen the spade seat, see page 9.
16 Adjust the height of the Walker. The
height adjustment permits variable
body weight reduction. Readjust the
hand grips.
17 Release the wheel brakes.
18 The ambulation training can start.
19 If desired:
Apply straight steering, see page 8.
