7.0 TROUBLESHOOTING
7.1 Instrument Diagnostics Menu
The Diagnostics Menu is used to access specific systems performance
checks. These diagnostics are useful when performed in conjunction with
the corrective action outlined in the Troubleshooting Guide, or when
working with Artel Technical Support. Contact Technical Support at 888-
406-3463.
7.1.1 Access the Diagnostics Menu at the Main Menu by pressing NO or
MENU SCROLL, until the following prompt appears:

Press YES.
7.1.2 The Diagnostics Menu offers the following options:
• Instr. Serial No.? This entry is simply for convenience to display
the instrument serial number without turning
the instrument over (the instrument serial
number is on a label on the bottom of the
instrument), or searching for a Printout (it is
near the bottom of most Printouts).
• Software Ver. No.? This entry is also for convenience to determine
the software version number without removing
the back cover (the software version number is
on a label on the program memory card), or
searching for a Printout (it is near the bottom of
most Printouts).
• Hdw. Config. Code? This entry will only appear if the instrument has
factory installed firmware version 7A2.200 or
later. It displays information regarding the
instrument hardware configuration in four two-
character blocks separated by dashes (e.g.
XX-XX-XX-XX). Knowing the Hardware
Configuration Code will help Artel Technical
Support personnel in diagnosing an instrument
problem.
• Test Lamp? This entry allows the user to determine: (a) if
the lamp and driving circuitry are operating
properly, and (b) if the instrument filters are in
