The installer must read this manual closely be-
fore start-up.
The operator should be an adult and fully com-
petent person.
Should any anomaly occur, please contact your
distributor.
Start-up
Check that the voltage is the same as that indi-
cated on nameplate of the machine.

zFor both models
Connect the machine to the mains power sup-
ply and start up by turning the ON/OFF switch

to position 1 (coffee only) or 2 (coffee and
steam). The general ON/OFF pilot light will
come on

. Connect the coffee groups using
the switch (1).
Once this process has nished, the machine
will prepare itself for operation: The S-L-XL
buttons

will light up alternatively, indicating
that the coffee group is heating. Once it has
reached the preset temperature, all three will
remain lit.
Note. The buttons
8
on each coffee group
will only be lit if the ON/OFF switches for
1
each group are switched on. If not, the S-L-XL
buttons will remain unlit.
If the general switch
0
is in position 2, the
boiler pilot light

will be lit, indicating that
the boiler is heating the water, until the ma-
nometer shows a pressure level of approx-
imately 1.5 bar

. The boiler will be ready
to provide hot water and steam in about 20
minutes.
It is common for a little water to come out of the
nozzle

after setting the steam function run-
ning. We therefore recommend that you place
the nozzle in the drainage tray

Attention
If, for any reason, water does not reach the
boiler, the left-hand button will ash and the
machine will stop working.
In both cases, disconnect using the switch
and check the water supply, either from the
mains supply or manually ll, reconnect the
machine by turning the general switch to po-
sition 1 or 2.
We recommend using water with
a low mineral content. The quality of the
water will affect the taste and quality of the
coffee as well as help avoid future malfunc-
tions. Check out our special anti-limescale
lters (optional).

XL: continuous (press again to discontinue
the dose)
To programme the amount of coffee, with the
machine on and ready to make coffee (the but-
tons will be

permanently lit), press for 5 or
6 seconds on the XL programme until it ashes
and the S and L buttons remain lit.
Now press the selection you want (S or L),
which will ash while the L and XL will be off.
The delivery process will begin.
