To prevent lime-scale buildup, water treatment
lters can also be used. However, we recom-
mend cleaning in line with consumption. The
use of Coffee Washer lters helps prolong the
life of the coffee machine, keeping it in optimum
condition.
Attention
Cleaning of the machine’s internal circuit
should be carried out by a qualied tech-
nician. If it is not done correctly, cleaning
product may get into the steam/water boiler.
Consult your distributor.
3. Cleaning of the mobile lter holder
z Washer and gasket: weekly Use the spe-
cial Ascaso V.26 brush to clean the lter
holder washers and gaskets.
z Filters and lter holders: weekly. Prepare a
solution of 2 sachets of V.100 “Group de-
tergent” or 3 sachets of V.101 detergent
powder with 1/2 litre of boiling water in a
stainless steel, plastic or glass container.
It must not be made of aluminium or iron.
Immerse the lter holders and the lters in
the solution, leaving them for at least 20
minutes and preferably overnight. Next, re-
move the parts and rinse them in abundant
clean water.
z Internal components: weekly. Switch
the machine on and change the coffee
lter of the lter holder for the blind lter
supplied. Empty a sachet of V.100-code
“Group Detergent” in the blind lter and
place it in the group. Next, press the XL
button, letting the pump work for about
7 seconds. Stop by pressing the XL but-
ton again. Repeat 5 times at intervals of 3
seconds.This process dissolves the pow-
der contained in the blind lter, cleans the
ducts and the solenoid valve, along with
the showerheads and group dispensers.
This process should be repeated as
often as required until clean water ap-
pears through the group dispenser.
Once complete, remove the lter holders
and run the group for 30 seconds, running
clean water through it.
4. Specic cleaning for xed lter-holder
systems.
z Filters: every fortnight. Prepare a solution
of 2 sachets of V.100 “Group detergent” or
3 sachets of V.101 detergent powder with
1/2 litre of boiling water in a stainless steel,
plastic or glass container. It must not be
made of aluminium or iron. Immerse the l-
ters in solution, leaving them for at least 20
minutes. It is best to leave them overnight.
Next, remove the parts and rinse them in
abundant clean water.
z Group, every fortnight or every 15,000-
20,000 coffees per group.
Attention
Cleaning of the group should be carried
out by a qualied technician. If it is not
done correctly, it may cause premature
wear and tear on components due to in-
correct handling. Consult your distributor.
5. Specic cleaning of the capsule system
(BAR KAP).
z Cleaning of the coffee group with the
capsule empty: daily. With the machine
connected and ready to be used, insert
the empty capsule into the drawer
.
Press the XL button
and let water to
run through the coffee outlet for about 30
seconds. At the end of the process, open
and close the drawer
, the empty cap-
sule will drop into the used capsules con-
tainer
.
z Group: weekly, or every 15,000-20,000
coffees per group.
