Note: Only install one ELISE2 module at a time, otherwise problems might occur during IP
addressing.
Installation Procedure
1 Read chapters 4.1 and 4.2 before starting the installation.
2 At delivery ELISE2 is configured for system communication on the A-bus. If modular
system bus cabling is used and the B-bus shall be used for system communication,
follow the instructions in
4.3 Selection of A or B-bus on page 11.
3 At delivery, the ELISE2 is configured to be connected to a Central Unit on the A/B-
bus. If the ELISE2 should control the communication on the A/B-bus, follow
instructions in
4.4 ELISE2 controlling the Communication on the A/B-bus on page
11.
4 Mount ELISE2 on the wall, follow instructions in 4.5 Mounting on page 13 and
4.6 Mounting Together with Other Units on page 13.
5 Set the system bus address, follow instructions in 4.7 System 900 Addressing on
page 14.
6 Connect the system bus, follow instructions in 4.8 Connection of System Bus on
page 14 and 4.9 Connection of Supply Voltage on page 16.
7 Optionally connect outputs and inputs described in 4.10 Additional Connections on
page 17.
8 Activate the battery, follow instructions in 4.11 Activation of Battery on page 19.
9 Perform a network parameter setup of ELISE2, follow instructions in 4.12 Setup of
Network Parameters on page 20.
10 Connect Ethernet connector to the Local Area Network, follow instructions in 4.13
Connection of Ethernet on page 22.
11 Perform a test of the installation, follow the instructions in 4.14 Installation Test
Procedure on page 22.
12 Continue with additional parameter setup for the unit according to chapter
4.15- 4.17 and respective software application documentation.
13 Make a backup copy of all parameters.
4.1 Opening the Housing
Use a screwdriver or similar to release the cover by applying a light pressure to the two
snap catches (1) and remove the cover (2).
