3.9 Connecting the serial port
A unique DB15 male connector hosts all serial protocols (please check par. 6.4.1
for pin-out details) so it is necessary to adapt this connection to plant needs;
ASEM can supply connector adapters as optional parts but user can adapt DB15
connector by himself.

3.9.1 Connecting to MPI or PPI networks
The electrical specification of the MPI networks are often referring to the use of
DB9 connectors like the one shown in the figure below.
The connector provides also the pass-through DB9 female connector for the MPI
cable of the programming device.
