Oponal Vacuum Line Installaon
Vacuum Line Installaon with Regulator Valve in Skimmer.
We highly recommend the use of the regulator valve to
balance water ow between the S5™ Sucon Side Pool
Cleaner and the skimmer. Install the regulator valve in
the skimmer when aaching the cleaner to a dedicated
vacuum line.
1. Turn the pool pump o.
2. Close the main drain and all sucon lines, except the
lines from the skimmer and the sucon line to which the
cleaner will be connected.
3. Thread the snap-lock wall ng into the end of the
dedicated sucon line (oponal - if not yet installed)
Note: Use two wraps of thread seal tape around the
threads to ensure easy removal.
4. Place the cleaner (with the hose aached) into the pool.
Turn it side to side and front to back to release any trapped
air, allowing the cleaner to sink to the oor of the pool.
Connue to feed the hose vercally down into the pool
unl it is completely lled with water and purged of air.
Note: If air is pulled into the pool plumbing it may cause
your pump to lose prime.
5. Insert the male hose end of the last hose secon directly
into the snap-lock wall ng. See Figure 8.
6. Insert the cone adapter into the vacuum connecon in
the boom of the skimmer.
7. To prevent water from owing through the top of the
regulator valve, fasten the valve cap onto the top of the
valve (See Figure 9). This acvates the regulator valve and
assures that an accurate amount of water (6m³/h) will
ow through the vacuum line and the cleaner. Without
the valve cap, the regulator valve and the cleaner will not
funcon properly. See Figure 10.
8. Press the regulator valve into the compression adapter.
Aer compleng the installaon, turn the pool pump on.
Allow the pump to run for a couple of minutes to be sure
all air cycles out of the system.
