Answering system operation
Message counter displays
The  message  counter  usually  displays  the  total 
number of memos and incoming messages. See the 
list below for explanations of other displays in this 
counter.
Message counter displays
0  No messages.
1-99   Number of messages/memos, or message 
number currently playing (page 26).
-
5  2  3   Current remote access code and priority 
call code while setting (pages 24-25).
0-7   Current ringer volume level while adjusting.
1-8  Current  listening  volume  level  while 
adjusting.
0-59 (counting)  Elapsed  time  while  recording  a  memo 
(page 27).
CL (flashing)  Clock needs to be set (page 21).
F (flashing)  Memory is full. Messages must be deleted 
before new messages can be recorded.
--  System is answering a call, being accessed 
remotely or being programmed.
-- (flashing)  System is initialized.
-||-  --          Displayed for 30 seconds when any answer-
ing system setting is turned on or off, then 
return to standby mode if no key pressed.
 
FS  Displayed during feature setting review.
AP  Displayed during announcement playback.
AO  Displayed when the answering system is in 
announce only mode.
dE  Displayed when the user-recorded announce

ment is deleted.
