Charger Cord Maintenance
Battery Maintenance
The battery does not require maintenance. Contact dealer for battery service
and/or replacement. Keep the battery clean by using a soft cloth to wipe away
dirt and accumulated debris.
Do not charge the battery with the key in the ON position. Charging the
battery with the vehicle ON, can cause a fire and serious personal injuries.
Turn o all accessories and be sure the vehicle key is in the OFF position.
To prevent a fire the cord and connectors should be free of dirt and debris
so that connections at the receptacle are clean and tight. Store the battery
charging cord in a clean and dust-free location.
Charging with the onboard charger
1. Be sure all accessories are turned OFF.
2. Disable the vehicle by placing the key in the OFF position.
3. Do not turn o the main switch that is under the front seat.
4. Connect the charger cord to the vehicle charging port first.
5. Connect the cord to an 120V receptacle.
Note: Onboard charger will start within 20 seconds.
 •Youwillhearthesolenoidclickwithin5seconds.
* The charger fan will start within 15 seconds.
 •TheStateofChargemeterwillbeginashing
red bars within 20 seconds.
6. When charging is complete, disconnect the AC
cord before operating the vehicle. Do not operate
the vehicle with the cord connected.
During the charging, it is recommended that the vehicle be parked on a level
and flat surface close to the location of the 120V power source.
Regularly examine cords and plug ends for any damage or excessive wear.
• Replace cords that have any damage such as cracks or frayed wiring,
•Donotsplicecords.
•Donotattempttorepairthecordorplugs.
•Ifanyplugpinsarebent,contactdealerforreplacementcord.
To prevent property damage, electrical shock, serious injury or death,
do not clean or lubricate the plug or receptacle with the cord connected
to a 120V power source.
Disconnect the cord from the 120V power source.
Clean the plug the connector ends with electrical contact cleaner.
