Fuel supply and filling your fuel tank
The labe l on the inside of the fuel filler flap tells you the correct fuel

Your vehicle fuel tank has an on -board refuelling vapor recove ry
system. This fe ature helps to preve nt f uel vapors from escap ing
from the tank and polluting the environment while you refue l you r
veh icle. In order t o fi ll the tank properly while protec tin g the envi -
ronmen t , please follow this refueling procedure carefully .
L1}. WARNING
Under normal operating conditions , never carry additional fuel
containers in your car. Gas canisters and other containers used to
transport fuel can be dangerous . Such containers , full or empty,
may leak and could cause a fire in a collision . If you must transport
fuel to use for your lawn mower , snow blower , etc ., be very careful
and alway s observe local and state laws regarding t he use, tran s-
portat ion and storage of such fuel container s. Make certain the
container meets industry standard s (ANSI/ASTM F852 - 861.

Never d rive your vehic le unti l t he fue l t ank is co mpletely empty . The
irregular supply of fuel can cause misfiring . Gasoline could enter
t he exhaus t system and damage the catalytic converter . •
