Locking and unlocking the vehicle from inside
The vehicle can be locked or unlocked from the insid e
usin g the pow er lock ing switches located in the driver's
and the front passenger door.

How to unlock each door separately using the
door handle
- Pull the handle to open t he do or.
If you lock the vehicle using the power locking switch c»=, please
note the foll owi ng:
You cannot open the doors or the rear lid from the
outside

The diode in t he powe r locking switch ill uminate whe n all the
doors and the rear lid are closed and locked.
You can unl ock and open t he door s from the inside by pull ing on
t he door handle.
If th e driver's door is opened (after you have locke d the ve hicle
from the inside using the power locking switch), the door will
rema in unlocke d t o prevent you from locki ng you rse lf out of your
veh icle. Aft er you close t he door, you have t o lock the driver ' s doo r
agai n.
If you have an accident and the airbag is activated, the doors
unlock auto maticall y.
& WARNING
If you use the power locking switch with the doors closed,
remember that all the vehicle doors will lock.
Locking doors from the inside can help prevent inadvertent
door opening during an accident and can also prevent unwanted
entry from the out side . Locked doors can, however, delay assis-
tance to vehicle occupant s and hold up rescue efforts from the
outside in an accident or other emergency.

Be awa re t hat t he rear lid can be op ened from insi de th e vehic le with
