♦ A - Battery check
– Start program by selecting Carry out check .
– Continue to follow instructions on screen.
– Use results of test to determine following measures:
Result on vehicle diagnostic test‐

“Battery OK” No further measures necessary.
“Charge battery” Charge battery ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr. 27 ; Battery; Charging battery .
“Battery is no longer of the same
quality as when shipped”
Renew battery after consulting with customer ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr.
27 ; Battery; Removing and installing battery .
– Switch to Control units tab.
– Press X Diagnosis button and close diagnosis program.
– Send off diagnosis log online.
Note
♦ A working network connection is necessary to send the diag‐
nostic log file online.
♦ After the diagnosis is complete, you will receive confirmation
that the test log was sent successfully.
3.6.2 Second battery -A1-
Only applies to hybrid vehicles.
Procedure:
– Connect vehicle diagnostic tester ⇒ page 20 .
– Select Diagnosis mode and begin diagnosis.
– Perform vehicle identification.
– Select “Working with Guided Fault Finding” by entering v and
press Apply
.
– Switch to “Special functions” tab and select following program:
♦ A - second battery -A1-, check
– Start program by selecting Carry out check .
– Continue to follow instructions on screen.
– Use results of test to determine following measures:
