Preparing joints for adhesive application
– Prepare flanges on body and new parts for bonding and weld‐
ing.
– Prepare bonding area with silicate stone -DA 009 800 - and
clean.
– Apply aluminium primer -DA 009 801 - to bonding surfaces
using applicator -D 009 500 25 - .
– Clean new part with silicone remover -LSE 020 100 A3- .
– Apply 2-component body adhesive -DA 0001 730 A2- to wheel
housing and entire riveting area using pneumatic glue gun -
V.A.G 2005 B- .
