Your authoriz ed Audi dealer has touch-up
paint for minor scratches and stone chips.
Scratches shou ld be touched up soon after
they occur to prevent corrosion.
If a spot starts to rust, however, a simple
touch- up job wi ll not be enoug h. The affected
surface must be sanded smooth and coated
with an anti -rust pr imer before the painted
finish can be restored.

Windows
Clear vision to all sides.
Clean all windows regularly to remove road
fi lm and car wash wax buildup .
.,. Remove snow from windows using a br ush .
.,. Use a plast ic ice scraper to remove ice from
windows and mirrors .
.,. Remove other residue on the windows with
a spray-on glass cleaner .
.,. Wipe the windows dry with a clean piece of
cloth or kitchen paper towel.
The best way to remove snow from windows
and mirrors is to use a brush . Use a non-abra-
sive
plastic ice scraper - better still, a spray
deicer - to remove
ice from windows and mir-
rors.
The windows must not be cleaned with insect
remover or wax since t hese can interfere with
the function of the windshield wiper blades
(chatter) .
Oil , grease, or silicone residue can be removed
with
glass cleaner or silicone remo ver . How-
ever, wax residue requires the use of a special-
ly formu lated solvent . Please contact your au-
thor ized Audi dealer for advice on safe prod-
ucts for wax removal.

Windows should also be cleaned on the inside
at regular intervals .
Never dry windows wit h the same chamo is
t hat you use t o dry painted surf aces. Wax resi-
due on the chamois can impai r vision through
the windows.

- The winds hield must not be treated w ith
water-repellent mate rials. They can in-
crease glare under poor visibility condi-
tions such as wetness, darkness, or when
the sun is low on the hor izon. In addi-
tion, they can cause the w indshield w ip-
ers to chatter.
(D Note
- Never use warm or hot wate r to remove
snow and ice from w indows and mirro rs.
This could cause t he glass to crack.
- To prevent damage to the wires of the
rear defogger, do not place any adhesive
st ickers on t he inside of th e rear w indow
over t he wires .
- To help prevent dirt from scratching the
w indow, always scrape in a forward di-
rect ion - pushing t he scraper away from
you - never back and f orth.
- Wate r leaking from t he inside of the rear
w indow s may dam age sensit ive elect rical
components located eit her under the
rear parcel shelf or in the rear tr unk area.
Always ensure t hat water never leaks
thro ugh the body section of the vehicle.
You can do th is by using waterproof pro-
tection over the vehicle's electrical com-
ponents (e.g., when installing w indow
ti nti ng) .

compone nts due to water damage or any
other outs ide infl uence is not covered by
the Audi New Vehicle Limited War ranty.
