The Gross Axle Weig ht Rati ng is the maxim um
load that can be applied at each axle of t he

Roof weight
The maximum perm issible roof weight is
220 lb (100 kg) . The roof weight is made up
of the weig ht of the roof rack system and the
weight of the object being t ransported

ceed t he perm issible weights, and thei r
combination must not exceed the Gross
Vehicle Weight Rating.
- Exceeding permissib le weight rati ngs can
result in vehicle damage, accidents and
personal injury.

- The vehicle capacity weight figures app ly
when the load is dist rib ute d evenly in t he
vehicle (passengers and luggage). When
transporting a heavy load in the luggage
compartment, carry the load as near to
t he rear axle as possib le so that the vehi-
cle's handling is not impa ired.
- Do not exceed the maximum permissible
axle loads or t he maximum gross vehicle
weig ht . Always remembe r that the vehi-
cle's handling will be affected by t he ex-
