Turning the clim ate control off
Press the lOFFI button to turn the climate
control
off and to block the air supp ly from
the outside.
The air conditioner turns back on when you
press the
t emperature regulator or one of the
buttons.
Automatic mode ~
The standard operating mode for all times of
the year .
Turning on autom atic mod e
Set the temperature between 60 °F (+16 °()
and 84 °F (+28 °C).

Automat ic mode ensures constant tempera-
tures in the interior and dehumidifies the air
inside the vehicle. Air temperature, volume
and distribution are controlled automatically
to reach or maintain the desired interio r tem -
perature as quickly as possib le . Fluctuat ions
in exter ior temperature and the
effects of
tempe rature from the position of t he sun a re
compensa t ed for automatically.
This operating mode works only in an adjusta-
ble temperature range of 60°F (+ 16°() to
84° F (+28°() . If you se lect a tempera t ure Low-
er than 60° F (+16°(),
low will appear in the
radio or MMI* display . At temperatures above
84° F (+28?),
high is d isp layed . At both ex-
treme settings, climate control runs continu-
ously at maximum cooling or heating power .
There is no temperature regu lation .
Setting the temperature
The temperature can be set separately for the
driver 's side and front passenger's side.
