Air vents
Air distribution determines the air flow from the individual vents .

Vent s @ and @
Rotate the thumbwheel located next to the
outlet to open or close it.
To adjust the direct ion of the airflow from
the outlet, move the tab in the center of the
outlet in the desi red d irect ion. The direction
of the air delivered from the vents can be
adjusted horizontally and vertically.
The air out lets are actuated either automati-
cally or manually depend ing on the operating
mode se lected. Heated or unheated fresh air
or coo led air flows from vents (!) through @).
@ Tips
If the climate cont rol is running in cooli ng
mode, air flows mainly from vents @ and
@. To achieve adequate cooling, you
should never close these vents complete ly.
Rear air vents
The rear air vents ore located in the center
console .
Turn the left t humbwhee l to open or close
the vent.
To adjust the direction of the air move the
handle in th e center of each vent. You can
adjust the air f low hori zontally and vertical -
ly.
To raise or lower the a ir temperature , turn
the right thumbwhee l toward the red or
blue marking .
The air ve nts are actuated either automat ica l-
ly or manually depending on the ope rat ing
mode selected. Heated or unheated fresh air,
o r cooled air flows from t he vents .
The air vents to heat the rear footwell are lo-
cated under the front seats.
@ Tips
If the climate control is operating in cool -
ing mode, air flows primar ily from the
vents in the cente r console . To ach ieve ad-
equate cooling, you should never close
these ve nts completely.
Economical use of the climate control
system
Economical use of the climate control system
helps save fuel.
When t he climate cont rol sys t em is working in
cooling mode, eng ine perfo rmance is reduced
and fuel consumption is affected . To keep the
time the climate contro l system is on as short
as possib le, you should do the following:
