Trip odometer and odometer
The trip odome ter shows t he dist a nce d riven
since it was last reset. It can be used to measure
short distances .
The t rip odome t er can be reset to zero by press-
ing the reset bu t to n IO.OI ¢ fig. 12.
The odometer shows the to tal d istance that the
ve hicle has be en driven.
Malfunction indicator
If the re is a malfunct ion in the inst rument clus-
ter,
DEF will appear in t he tr ip odometer display .
Have the malfunc t ion repaired as soon as possi -
ble.

- Average consumpt ion
- Range
- Short-term memory overview
- Long-term memo ry overview
The s hort-term memo ry collects d riving informa -
tion from the t ime t he ignition is sw itch ed on un-

Always set the des ired driver information system
view before driving, because display functions
will no t be ava ilable for seve ral seconds .
Driver in f orma t ion system
t il it is switched off . If you continue driving with -
in two hours after switching the ignition off, the
new values are included when ca lculating the cur-
rent trip information .
Unlike t he shor t-te rm memory, the long -term
memory is not erased automatically . You can se-
lect t he time period for evaluating trip informa -
t ion yourse lf.
Fuel consumption
The curren t fuel con sum pt ion can be s hown us-
ing a ba r graph. The average consumption stored
in the short -term memory is also disp layed. If
the ba r is green, your vehicle is saving fuel
th rough one of the following functions:
- Recuperation: elect rical ener gy can be stored in
the batte ry when the veh icle is coasting or driv-
ing downhill. The bar will move toward 0 .

- The da t e, t ime of day and time and date fo r-
mat can be set in t he Infotainment system .
- If the veh icle bat tery is disconnected, all
memory values are erased.
