INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the world of Auto-Trail, and
thank you for choosing one of our leisure
vehicles to explore in. This handbook has
been designed to benefit both experienced
and new motorhomers alike, providing an
outline of the features in your Expedition
campervan.
The information that follows is intended to give you a
general guide on the care, use and maintenance of your
campervan. Please read all of the individual appliance
instructions in the information wallet supplied with your
vehicle prior to using them for the first time.
Your campervan is designed to give many years of
use as a leisure purpose vehicle, not as a permanent
residence. Regular maintenance will ensure trouble-
free service and enhance the value of your vehicle.
Private exports
Auto-Trail campervans are
designed and manufactured to
operate in a specific country or
region, therefore it is imperative
that when purchasing a new
vehicle, you should be fully aware
of the design and operating
parameters of the product.
Vehicles manufactured in
the UK are built to European
directives and standards, and are
also equipped with components
that are designed to operate in
a typical European temperate
climate. Should you choose to
export a registered vehicle from
the UK, or purchase a vehicle
from a non-aligned dealership
outside of the UK, it is your
responsibility to ensure that any
required modifications have been
completed to the correct standard
and that the vehicle complies with
all legislation of the country in
which it is to be registered.
Any equipment that is operated
in a country which it is not
designed for, will either not
perform correctly or may fail.
This equipment may also not
be covered by the appliance
manufacturer’s warranty. Similarly,
Auto-Trail vehicles are designed to
be used on normal tarmac roads
with occasional o-road campsite
use. Should your vehicle be used
outside of these conditions, it
may suer undue load, stress and
ingress of debris. In this instance,
Auto-Trail will not be held liable
for any such failure and, as a
result, any applicable warranty will
be void.
Vehicle modifications
Please check with your supplying
dealer before carrying out any
modifications to your vehicle.
Any unauthorised modifications
carried out by a third party could
aect the terms of your warranty
agreement. Please also consult
your dealer before any additional
equipment is fitted to your vehicle
to ensure the appropriate fixing
support is available.
Never allow modifications of
electrical or LPG systems and
appliances except by qualified
persons. Care should be taken
to ensure that any additional
equipment or appliances are
installed with the appliance/
equipment manufacturer’s
instructions.
Appliance maintenance
In the interest of safety,
replacement parts for an appliance
shall conform to the appliance
manufacturer’s specifications and
should be fitted by them or their
authorised agent.
ANY QUESTIONS?
Your supplying dealer is responsible for all aspects of
your customer care. We suggest that you save their
name and contact details for easy access whilst out
on the road, as this would speed up the process of
answering and queries you may have.
For total peace of mind, all Auto-Trail vehicles registered
in the UK are supplied with a comprehensive warranty.
Please ensure that your dealer has explained all aspects
of the warranty terms and conditions, as well as
necessary servicing requirements.
For matters relating to the base vehicle (e.g. lubricant
levels, service intervals etc.), please refer to your base
vehicle handbook.
