Why no water flow display when water is flowing on Autotrol Control Systems?
    • D
      Daniel Peterson Jr.Sep 12, 2025
If there is no water flow display when water is flowing in your Autotrol Control Systems (colon does not blink), shift the bypass valve into the service position. Also, ensure the meter probe is fully inserted into the meter housing. If the meter turbine rotation is restricted due to foreign material, remove the meter housing, free up the turbine, and flush with clean water. If the turbine does not spin freely, refer to the Water Meter Maintenance section. If the problem persists, the meter probe or circuit board may be defective, requiring replacement of the control.

Why Autotrol Performa 440i Control control backwashes at excessively low or high rate?
    • K
      Kevin RobinsonSep 13, 2025
If the Autotrol Control Systems control backwashes at an excessively low or high rate, it may be due to an incorrect backwash controller being used (replace with the correct size controller) or foreign matter affecting the controller operation (remove the controller and ball, then flush with water).

Why Autotrol Performa 440i Control Control Systems control will not regenerate automatically?
    • B
      Benjamin EscobarSep 17, 2025
If your Autotrol Control Systems control will not regenerate automatically, connect the power if the transformer or motor is not connected. If the timer motor is defective, replace it. Ensure the skipper pins are down on the timer skipper wheel for the days regeneration is required. If there is binding in the gear train of the timer, replace the timer.

What to do if Autotrol Performa 440i Control timer stalled in regeneration cycle?
    • B
      Brian BurnettNov 21, 2025
If your Autotrol Control Systems timer is stalled in the regeneration cycle, several issues could be the cause. It could be due to the motor not operating or running backwards, in which case you should replace the control. Other potential causes include no electric power at the outlet (repair the outlet or use a working one), incorrect voltage or frequency (replace the timer and/or transformer with the correct one), a broken gear, or a defective switch (in all of these cases, replace the control). An air leak in brine connections or binding of the camshaft can also cause this issue; check all junction points and remove any obstructions from the valve discs or camshaft, respectively. High water pressure during regeneration or a defective circuit board can also be the reason; install a press...
