STARTING THE ENGINE
(see also KOHLER Owners Manual)
Turn the battery disconnect switch to ON
Adjust the throttle lever to
¼.
Lift up the choke button
NOTE: Do not use the choke if the engine is warm
or the air temperature is high
Turn the ignition key to the right until engine starts, then
let the key return to ON position
Reduce choke (push choke button down) as soon as
engine has started, push completely down when
engine has warmed up
Turn the ignition key to the OFF position (to the left)
Turn the power off with the battery disconnect switch
STOPPING THE ENGINE
THE ENGINE CANNOT START IF THE AUXILIARY
HYDRAULICS CONTROL PEDAL IS IN LOCKING
POSITION.
LOCATION OF BATTERY DISCONNECT
SWITCH
All AVANT loaders are equipped with a battery disconnect
switch. In AVANT 218/220 the switch is located under the
drivers seat in engine compartment. Following pictures show
the location of this switch.
