Part Testing
Controller
Check for 120 volts between white (N) and
black (L) (#4) at the back of the controller.
NOTE: there are two black (L) wires. (Fig. 16)
With controller calling for compressor to
run, check for 120 volts between white
(N) and red (Compressor) wire. (Fig. 16)
Check for any discoloration or deformations of
electrical connections, if any are found,
replace connections.
Condenser Fan Motor
Check for 120 volts at the condenser fan plug,
between white and black wires when controller
is calling for compressor to run. (Fig. 18)
Check for 0.5 amps at black wire when
controller is calling for compressor to run.
Check for any discoloration or deformations of
electrical connections, if any are found,
replace connections.
Evaporator Fan Motors
Check for 120 volts between white (N) and
black (L) at the back of the unit. (Fig. 17)
Check for 0.7 amps at black wire when unit is
plugged in.
Check for any discoloration or deformations of
electrical connections, if any are found,
replace connections.
