Registration
Avaya product and Avaya Converged Platform 100 series hardware serial number registration is
mandatory. Avaya customers and Avaya Channel Partners must register the end user product
information through the Global Registration Tool (GRT) to receive support from Avaya Services.
Registering products and server serial numbers is a prerequisite for services support of Avaya
Converged Platform. Registration establishes accurate inventory, testing of remote access (SAL)
connectivity, configuration of alarming if necessary, and ensures proper onboarding of customers
into all levels of Avaya support. General information about the registration process can be found at

Avaya Global Registration Tool (GRT)
Direct and indirect registration must be done in the Global Registration Tool (GRT) process at
https://support.avaya.com. Refer to Global Registration Tool (GRT) Overview and Job Aids for
information and procedures for working with GRT. Access GRT directly at https://grt.avaya.com/
grt/. Select the Create New Registration option to register a new device.
The Avaya Converged Platform 100 series use the product serial number for registration. The
following illustration is an example of the serial number sticker that appears on all models of the
Avaya Converged Platform 100 series.
