5. IPFIX Configuration Examples for the
ERS 5000 or ERS 4500
5.1 IPFIX Basic Configuration for Ethernet Routing
Switch:
For this configuration example, we will configure the following:
 Enable IPFIX collecting on a standalone Ethernet Routing Switch ports 12 and 13
 Configure the IPFIX active-time to 30 seconds. This will allow viewing the IPFIX flows
on port 12 for up to 30 seconds.
 Add an IPFIX collector which has an IP address of 172.30.30.20. We will leave the
default setting of UDP dst-port 9995.
5.1.1 Configuration
ERS-STACKABLE: Step 1 – Enable IPFIX globally
ERS-Stackable(config)# ip ipfix enable
ERS-STACKABLE: Step 2 – Enable IPFIX on port 7/26
ERS-Stackable(config)# interface fastEthernet 12,13
ERS-Stackable(config)# ip ipfix enable
ERS-Stackable(config)# exit
ERS-STACKABLE: Step 3 – Change the aging timeout to 30 seconds
ERS-Stackable(config)# ip ipfix slot 1 aging-interval 30
ERS-STACKABLE: Step 4 – Add the IPFIX Collector
