The Top 10 Views provides the following reports
 Top 10 Applications
 Top 10 Conversations
 Top 10 Hosts
 Top 10 Ports
 Top 10 Protocols
 Top 10 Subnets
Right-click menu options allows user to launch a detailed report (e.g. selecting a protocol
(OSPFIGP) in this example launches ―Top 10 Conversations‖ related to it. Charts can be redrawn
in pie or bar format, by selecting different table entries (minimum selection count is 2). Also --
Find conversational Slot / Port information quickly (in ―Top 10 Conversations‖ View) with a right
click. User can disable or enable applications so that the desired application for monitoring will
show up in the Top 10 Applications.
6.2.3 Monitoring Applications
Out of the box, IPFM supports all protocols as specified by IANA.org while the user can easily
customize and add & configure new protocols by defining a name and composing an expression
for protocol and port numbers using operators AND, OR, IN and ―=‖. Here are a couple of
