4.3. Feeding in a SAT-IF distribution structure
For feeding into a SAT IF distribution structure, IP signals from a telephone service provider or a cable network
operator can be used.
Important: If additional CATV signals of a cable operator are fed into the terrestrial branch, then
sufficient locking depth of ca. 100 dB for the frequency range of 5…204 MHz must be achieved.
Otherwise it may cause interferences in the cable network. Proceed as shown in the examples for
amplifiers with or without switchable return path, see 4.1 at page 11.
4.3.1. At the terrestrial input of a multiswitch
The IP data from the telephone company is received by a router and forwarded to an EOC 1-32. The EOC
modulates the IP data and feeds it into the distribution network via the G.hn output using its internal diplexer.
The data can be received at the other EoC devices.
