Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey
maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations.
Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:
•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.
•Changethepasswordatarecurringinterval,atleastonceayear.
Verifythatnoonehastamperedwiththermware
TomakesurethatthedevicehasitsoriginalAxisrmware,ortotakefullcontrolofthedeviceafterasecurityattack:
1.Resettofactorydefaultsettings.SeeResettofactorydefaultsettingsonpage64.
