Aprivacymaskisauser-denedareathatpreventsusersfromviewingapartofthemonitoredarea.Inthevideostream,privacy
masksappearasblocksofsolidcolor.
Theprivacymaskisrelativetothepan,tilt,andzoomcoordinates,soregardlessofwhereyoupointthecamera,theprivacy
maskcoversthesameplaceorobject.
You’llseetheprivacymaskonallsnapshots,recordedvideo,andlivestreams.
YoucanusetheVAPIX®applicationprogramminginterface(API)tohidetheprivacymasks.
Important
Ifyouusemultipleprivacymasksitmayaffecttheproduct’sperformance.
Youcancreateseveralprivacymasks.Themaximumnumberofmasksdependsonthecomplexityofallthemaskscombined.The
moreanchorpointsineachmask,thefewermasksyoucancreate.Eachmaskcanhave3to10anchorpoints.
Overlays
Overlaysaresuperimposedoverthevideostream.Theyareusedtoprovideextrainformationduringrecordings,suchasatimestamp,
orduringproductinstallationandconguration.Youcanaddeithertextoranimage.

Presetpositions
Apresetpositionisasavedviewthatcanbeusedtoquicklymovethecameraviewtoaspecicposition.
Apresetpositioncanconsistofthefollowingvalues:

Guardtours
Aguardtourdisplaysthevideostreamfromdifferentpresetpositionseitherinapredeterminedorrandomorder,andforcongurable
periodsoftime.Oncestarted,aguardtourcontinuestorununtilstopped,evenwhentherearenoclients(webbrowsers)viewingthe
images.
Theguardtourfunctionincludestourrecording.Thisallowsrecordingacustomtourusinganinputdevice,suchasajoystick,a
mouse,orakeyboard,orthroughusingtheVAPIX®ApplicationProgrammingInterface(API).Arecordedtourisareplayofarecorded
sequenceofpan/tilt/zoommovements,includingtheirvariablespeedsandlengths.
