Howtosetthehomeposition
TheHomepositionisreadilyaccessiblebyclickingtheHomebuttonontheliveviewwindowandinthePresetPositionssetupwindow.
Tosetacustomizedhomeposition,selectUsecurrentpositionasHomewhenaddingapresetposition.Theuser-denedhome
positionwillhave(H)added,forexample,Entrance(H).ThedefaultHomeposition,called“Home”,willstillbeavailable.
TheproductcanbeconguredtoreturntotheHomepositionwhenthePTZfunctionalityhasbeeninactiveforaspeciedlength
oftime.EnterthelengthoftimeintheReturntohomewheninactiveeldandclickSave.Setthetimetozerotopreventthe
productfromautomaticallyreturningtotheHomeposition.
Aboutthefocuswindow
Thefocuswindowmakesitpossibletoselectanareaofthecamera’simagetowhichthatfocusshouldbeapplied.Thiscanbeuseful
ifthereisapartoftheimagewherefocusismorecritical,orifapartoftheimageshouldbeignoredbytheautofocus.
WhenthefocuswindowissetfromtheLiveViewpage,anychangeinthecamerapositionwillreturntheautofocustotheentire
window.
WhenclickingtheFocusWindowbuttoninthepresetpositionpage,themostrecentlysetfocuswindowfromtheLiveView
pageappears.
Ifyousetthefocuswindowfromthepresetpositionspage,itisincludedinthesettingsforthatpreset.Thefocuswindowcanbe
redenedforthepreset,butitcannotbedeletedunlessthepresetisdeleted.
Gatekeeper
TheGatekeepermonitorsanareasuchasanentrancegate.Whenmotionisdetectedinthemonitoredarea,theGatekeeperwillsteer
thecameratoaselectedpresetposition.Usingazoomed-inpresetpositioncanmakeitpossibleto,forexample,readalicenseplate
oridentifyaperson.Whenmotionisnolongerdetected,thecamerareturnstoitsHomepositionafteradenedtime.
ToenabletheGatekeeper,gotoPTZ>Gatekeeperandfollowtheonlineinstructions.
Itisalsopossibleto,forexample,recordvideoorsaveimages(takeasnapshot)whiletheGatekeeperisactive.GotoEvents
andsetupanactionrulewithPTZPresetReachedastrigger.
Aboutguardtours
Aguardtourdisplaysthevideostreamfromdifferentpresetpositions,one-by-one,inapredeterminedorderoratrandom,andfor
congurabletimeperiods.Theenabledguardtourwillkeeprunningaftertheuserhasloggedofforclosedthebrowser.

Forproductsthatsupportlimitedguardtours,thereisaxedminimumviewtimeof10seconds.
Howtocreateaguardtour
1.GotoSetup>PTZ>GuardTour.
2.ClickAdd.
3.Typeaname.
4.Specifythepauselengthbetweenruns.
5.Selectapresetpositionfromthedrop-downlistandclickAdd.
6.Tospecifyhowfastthecamerashouldmovetothepresetposition,enteravalueintheMoveSpeedeld.
7.Foreachpresetposition,entertheViewTimeinsecondsorminutes.
8.SpecifytheViewOrderofthepresetpositions,orselectRandomvieworder.
