6.5. Configuration Instructions
6.5.1. Install the GSD File
Although these instructions are specific for the Siemens TIA Portal (v14) software, you may use these instructions as a basis for installing the
GSD file into another controller.
1. Download the GSD file from www.bannerengineering.com.
2. Launch the Siemens TIA Portal (v14) software.
3. Click Open existing project.
4. Select a project and open it.
5. After the project is uploaded, click Devices & networks.

6. Click Configure networks.

7. Click Options and select Manage general station description file (GSD).
STEP RESULT: The Install general station decription file window opens.
8. Click the More options (...) icon to the right of the Source path field and browse to the location the DXM GSD file was downloaded to.
